The Best Free AI App Builders in 2026: What Each Free Plan Really Gives You

What the free plans of Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Base44, Bubble, FlutterFlow and Mythex actually include in 2026: credits, publishing, code access and limits.

Every major AI app builder now has a free plan, but "free" means very different things. Some give you a few messages a day and no way to publish; others let you put a real app on the internet. As of October 2026, the most useful free plans for actually shipping something are Mythex (daily credits plus publishing), Replit (one published app) and Bolt (a monthly token allowance and free hosting on a bolt.host address). Lovable's free plan is generous for building, v0 is best for UI, and Bubble and FlutterFlow let you learn a visual builder for free.

Below is what each free plan includes, where it stops, and who it suits.

How we compared

We read each vendor's own pricing page in September and October 2026 and compared the free tier on four things: how much you can build, whether you can publish, whether you can see or take the code, and what pushes you onto a paid plan. This is not a quality benchmark. Plans change often, so check the linked pricing page before you rely on a number. Mythex is our product; we describe it with the same limits as everyone else.

Mythex

Free plan. No card needed. You get 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, plus 10 Cloud credits a month for apps you publish. You describe the app in chat, Mythex writes the code and runs it in a live preview in a private cloud workspace, and you can publish it to a yourname.mythex.app address. A Postgres database and file storage are added when the app needs them. You can see the code and the terminal, but editing code, export, GitHub sync and custom domains are Pro features.

Good for. People who want to build something real and put it online before paying, and anyone who wants to work in another language: the Mythex interface is available in 69 languages, including Arabic with full right-to-left support. There is also a Mythex app for Android on Google Play.

Where it stops. The daily allowance is small for big apps. No visual point-and-click editor. Android and iPhone apps (which wrap your web app) need Pro, so they aren't part of the free plan.

Lovable

Free plan. 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month, as of September 2026. The paid plans start at $25 a month for 100 credits. See Lovable pricing.

Good for. Trying a guided, design-forward full-stack web app with on-preview editing.

Where it stops. Code editing, download and custom domains are paid.

Bolt

Free plan. 1M tokens a month with a 300K daily limit, as of September 2026, and hosting on a free .bolt.host address through Bolt Cloud. See Bolt pricing.

Good for. Fast JavaScript prototypes you can watch being written in the browser.

Where it stops. Token use grows with project size, so a free month goes quickly on larger projects.

Replit

Free plan. The Starter plan includes daily Agent credits, one published app and "Lite" builds only, as of September 2026. See Replit pricing.

Good for. People who want a full cloud IDE alongside the agent.

Where it stops. One published app, and the full Agent needs Core at $20 a month.

v0

Free plan. $5 of monthly credits and a 7-message daily limit, as of September 2026. See v0 pricing.

Good for. Generating UI for React and Next.js projects that will live on Vercel.

Where it stops. Seven messages a day is enough to try it, not to build a whole app.

Base44

Free plan. 25 message credits a month and up to 5 apps, as of September 2026. See Base44 pricing.

Good for. Seeing how far an all-in-one builder gets you with very few choices to make.

Where it stops. 25 messages a month is small, and code-level access starts on paid plans.

Bubble

Free plan. Build and test apps in Bubble's visual editor. See Bubble pricing.

Good for. Learning a mature visual builder before committing.

Where it stops. Going live needs a paid plan, and Bubble's docs say apps cannot be exported as code on any plan.

FlutterFlow

Free plan. Up to 2 projects, as of September 2026. See FlutterFlow pricing.

Good for. Learning a visual builder that targets native mobile apps.

Where it stops. Code and APK download start at Basic, $39 a month.

How to get the most out of a free plan

  • Pick one small, real task. A form that saves to a database and a page that lists what was saved is enough to compare builders fairly.
  • Plan before you build. Writing the request out first saves credits; Mythex has a Plan mode for this. See how to write prompts for AI app builders.
  • Check what happens at the limit. Some builders pause, some ask you to wait until tomorrow, and some stop your published app. Know which before you share a link.

Questions

Is there a completely free AI app builder?

Several AI app builders have a free plan with no card needed, including Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Base44, Bubble, FlutterFlow and Mythex. Each one limits how much you can build per day or month, and most keep code editing, export or custom domains for paid plans.

Which free AI app builder lets you publish an app?

As of October 2026, Mythex's free plan includes publishing to a mythex.app address, Replit's free Starter plan allows one published app, and Bolt can host on a free bolt.host address. Check each vendor's pricing page, because free publishing rules change often.

Can I export the code on a free plan?

Usually not. Most builders keep code download and GitHub sync for paid plans. On Mythex the free plan shows the code read-only; editing, export and GitHub sync come with Pro at $25 a month.

What is the best free AI app builder for Arabic apps?

Mythex's free plan lets you describe the app in Arabic or English and builds right-to-left Arabic or bilingual pages, and the Mythex interface itself is available in Arabic. See our comparison of AI app builders for Arabic and RTL for the others.
