Car Rental Website Builder: Describe Your Fleet, Get a Site
Mythex is an AI car rental website builder: you describe your vehicle classes, branches and rental terms, and it builds the site with a live preview, then publishes it to a real URL. Enquiries and quote requests are saved to a database you can read from an admin page.
Who it's for
Independent car and van hire firms, airport rental operators and small fleets that take most bookings by phone or through brokers and want a site of their own that answers the questions renters ask before they call.
What you can build
- A fleet page with each class, seats, luggage, gearbox and an example model
- A rates table with daily and weekly prices that you edit from one place
- Rental requirements: driver age, licence history, deposit, mileage and fuel policy
- Branch pages with hours, a map and airport meet-and-greet instructions
- An enquiry form that asks for class, pickup date and return date
- A long-term rental page for contractors and people between cars
What a car rental website must answer
Renters compare three things: what the car is like, what it costs for their dates, and what they need to bring. Most rental sites answer the first two and hide the third in terms, which is why disputes happen at the desk. Show the vehicle class with a realistic example model and say 'or similar', give the daily and weekly rate, and put the deposit, minimum age, licence history and fuel policy right beside it. Add what is included and what is extra, such as additional drivers, child seats and cross-border travel.
- Class, seats, bags, gearbox, example model
- Daily and weekly rate per class
- Deposit, age, licence and fuel policy on the same page
Mistakes that cost bookings
The common ones are photos of models you no longer run, prices that differ between the site and the phone, and branch hours that do not mention after-hours key drops. Keep the class table as the single source of prices so the site and any booking form read the same numbers. If your airport branch is off-site, say where the shuttle or meeting point is and give a phone number for delayed flights. A renter who lands at midnight and cannot find you will leave a review either way.
What to put on day one
Start small and correct rather than complete and stale. A home page with your branches and a clear call to action, a fleet page with your four or five main classes and their rates, a requirements section, and an enquiry form that saves name, class, pickup date and return date. Once that is live, add a long-term rental page, reviews and a gallery of the actual cars. Later you can turn the enquiry form into real date-range booking without rebuilding the site.
- Home, fleet and rates, requirements, contact
- Enquiry form saved to a database with an admin list
- Add booking later in the same project
A prompt to start from
Build a website for my car rental company with branches at the airport and in the city centre. Add a fleet page with economy, compact, SUV, 7-seater and van classes showing seats, bags, transmission, an example model and daily and weekly rates. Include a rental requirements section (minimum age 23, licence held 2 years, deposit per class, full-to-full fuel), branch hours with airport meeting instructions, and an enquiry form that saves name, class, pickup and return dates to a database with an admin list.
Questions
What pages does a car rental website need?
A home page, a fleet and rates page, rental requirements, branch locations with hours, and a way to enquire or book. A long-term rental page and reviews are worth adding once the basics are live.
Can I change prices without editing every page?
Yes. Ask for the rates to live in one class table in the database with an admin page to edit them. Every page and form that shows a price reads from that table.
Where do enquiries go?
Into the app's database, listed on an admin page you sign in to. You can also ask for a CSV export, or email alerts through an email provider you connect.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro ($25/month). On the Free plan the site publishes to a Mythex address, with no credit card needed.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the site in plain language, watch it in a live preview and change it by chatting. The code is there if you or a developer want to look at it later.
