Why dance studio booking is different from appointments

Most booking tools think in single appointments. A dance studio mostly sells a seat in a class that repeats weekly for a term, attended by a child whose parent made the booking. So the booking system needs class rosters, term dates, an age range on each class and parent details on every booking. Private lessons are closer to appointments, but tied to a teacher and a room. Trials without overloading a class

Trial classes are how most new students start, and the mistake is letting them flood a class. Five trial children in a class of twelve means the regulars barely get corrected. Set a trial limit per class and per week, and ask for the child's age and any experience on the trial form so the teacher knows who is coming. After the trial, send the parent a link to enrol for the rest of term.

Keep one waiting list per class and offer places strictly in order. Parents accept waiting when they can see where they stand, and a fair queue saves you awkward conversations at the door. Give each offer a deadline, such as 48 hours, before the place moves to the next family.
