How gurdwaras work
A gurdwara is open to everyone, and the langar kitchen serves free meals every day, powered by seva from the sangat. Weekends bring the largest diwans with kirtan, and Gurpurabs and Vaisakhi bring large gatherings and sometimes a nagar kirtan through the streets. Families book Akhand Path, Sehaj Path and Sukhmani Sahib paths, Anand Karaj ceremonies and langar sponsorships. The committee also runs Punjabi and Gurbani classes. Much of this lives in an office notebook, which software can replace.
