The best Carrd alternatives are Framer for a design-led site that needs more pages and a CMS, Webflow for a larger content site, Squarespace for polished templates with built-in selling, WordPress.com for blogging, Linktree if all you need is a link-in-bio page, and an AI app builder such as Mythex when your page needs to become an actual app. Carrd itself is hard to beat on price and simplicity for a one-page site, so only switch when you've outgrown what a single page can do.

What Carrd offers today

Carrd describes itself as a tool for simple, free, fully responsive one-page sites. As of September 2026:

  • Free: build up to 3 sites on a Carrd address with the core features.
  • Pro Lite: from $9 a year for 3 sites, with no Carrd branding, but without custom domains or forms.
  • Pro Standard: from $19 a year for 10 sites, adding custom domains, forms, widgets, embeds and analytics.
  • Pro Plus: from $49 a year for 25 sites, adding advanced forms, site downloads, redirects, password protection and more.

Larger tiers of each plan cover more sites, up to 1,000. There's a 7-day trial of Pro with no card needed.

That's remarkably cheap. For a personal page, a product teaser or a waitlist, Carrd often remains the right answer.

Why people look for Carrd alternatives

  1. More than one page. A growing business needs separate pages for services, pricing, a blog or case studies.
  2. Content management. Publishing posts or a list of items is easier with a CMS than by editing sections.
  3. Selling. A cart, product catalogue and checkout need a builder with commerce features.
  4. App features. User accounts, dashboards, bookings with rules or a searchable directory go beyond a website builder.
  5. Design range. Some people want more layout and animation control.

How we compared

We compared publicly stated features and prices on each vendor's own website as of September 2026. We didn't do hands-on testing, and we left out anything we couldn't confirm there. Linktree's prices didn't display on the pricing page we checked, so we don't quote them. Squarespace prices are the US prices shown on its pricing page. Mythex facts come from our own documentation.

Framer: the natural step up

Framer keeps the "design it and publish it" feel of Carrd but adds multiple pages, a CMS, animation and AI that can generate pages and copy. As of September 2026, billed yearly: Free ($0, Framer domain), Basic $10 a month (custom domain, 30 pages, 2 CMS collections), Pro $30 a month (150 pages, 10 CMS collections, staging).

Pick it if you want a better-looking, multi-page site without learning web development. Our Framer vs Webflow comparison goes deeper.

Webflow: for bigger content sites

Webflow is more powerful and harder to learn. As of September 2026, billed yearly: Starter is free on a webflow.io address; Basic is $15 a month for up to 300 static pages but no CMS; Premium from $25 a month adds the CMS. Ecommerce plans are separate, from $29 a month.

Pick it if you expect lots of content, a blog or a store, and you're willing to invest time in learning it.

Squarespace: polished templates and built-in selling

Squarespace is known for well-designed templates. As of September 2026 its US prices, billed annually, are Basic $12 a month, Core $17 and Advanced $25, with a 14-day free trial and a free domain for the first year on annual plans. The Basic plan charges a 2% transaction fee on online store sales; Core and Advanced don't.

Pick it if you want a complete, good-looking site with selling features and little setup.

WordPress.com: when content is the point

WordPress.com is the hosted service built on open-source WordPress. As of September 2026, billed annually: Free ($0, WordPress.com address), Personal $4 a month (custom domain free for the first year, no ads), Premium $8, Business $25 and Commerce $45 with WooCommerce.

Pick it if you plan to publish regularly or want a platform you could later move to another WordPress host.

Linktree: if you only need links

Many people use Carrd as a link-in-bio page. Linktree is built for exactly that. As of September 2026 its free plan offers unlimited basic links, and paid tiers called Starter, Pro and Premium add analytics, custom themes, branding removal (Pro), social media scheduling (Premium) and lower seller fees on digital products. Pro and Premium have a 7-day free trial.

Pick it if your page lives in a social profile and is mostly links. If you'd rather own the page, see how to build a link-in-bio page.

Mythex: when the page needs to become an app

Carrd and website builders are for pages people read. If yours needs to do things, such as signing people up and showing them a dashboard, taking bookings with your own rules, or running a waitlist with referral positions, you're building a small web app.

Mythex is an AI app builder: you describe what you want in chat, the AI agent writes the code, you see it in a live preview, and you publish to yourname.mythex.ai. It can add a dedicated Postgres database when your app needs to store data. For logins, emails or payments, you bring your own provider and the agent wires it in.

Pricing (from our docs): Free is $0 with 10 credits a day (up to 30 a month), and you can publish on a Mythex address. Pro is $25 a month or $250 a year and adds custom domains, a full code editor and project export. See the plans page.

Where Carrd is better: for a simple one-page site, Carrd is far cheaper, has a visual editor you click and drag in, and is quicker to finish. Mythex has no drag-and-drop editor, and its custom domains need Pro. Use Mythex when you need logic and data, not for a static page Carrd already handles well. Our guide on how to build a waitlist page shows the kind of project where the extra power helps.

Verdict

  • Stay on Carrd for one-page sites, personal pages and quick launches. Nothing else is this cheap.
  • Framer for a design-led, multi-page upgrade.
  • Webflow for large content sites and stores, if you'll learn it.
  • Squarespace for polished templates with selling built in.
  • WordPress.com for blogs and content.
  • Linktree for a pure link-in-bio page.
  • An AI app builder like Mythex when the page needs accounts, data or custom logic.

Whatever you choose, the page's structure matters more than the tool. See how to build a landing page that converts.

Is anything cheaper than Carrd?
