Build a Table Booking System for Your Bar with AI

You can build a table booking system for a bar by describing it to Mythex: your areas, table sizes, time limits and how many tables stay free for walk-ins. It builds the guest booking page and the staff list behind it, with a real database, and publishes to a link you put in your bio.

Who it's for

Bars taking reservations through Instagram DMs, WhatsApp and phone calls, where the Friday list lives on a notepad behind the till. It also suits bars that tried a restaurant booking tool and found it built for two-hour dinner covers, not booths, terraces and walk-in trade.

What you can build

  • Booking by area: booths, high tables, terrace, back room
  • Two-hour table limits on Friday and Saturday only
  • A share of tables that can never be reserved online
  • Deposit or card hold for groups above a size you choose
  • Tonight's list for the door and floor staff on a tablet
  • Automatic confirmation and reminder emails to the guest

Bar reservations are not restaurant reservations

A restaurant fills every seat with bookings. A bar that does the same looks empty at 8 p.m. while reserved tables wait for late groups, and turns away walk-ins at 10. So the system should know which tables are bookable, for how long, and on which nights. Booths might be bookable all week, while the standing area and bar stools never are.

  • Bookable and walk-in-only tables
  • Time limits that apply only on busy nights
  • Different rules for match days

What to set up first

Map your room: list each area, how many tables it has and how many people each seats. Then decide your Friday and Saturday rules: slot length, the latest booking time and the walk-in share. Give that to Mythex in one message. Once it works, add deposits for large groups and a no-show note on the guest record.

  • Areas and table sizes
  • Slot length and last booking time
  • Group size that needs a deposit

Large groups and deposits

A no-show booth for ten on a Saturday is real money. Ask for a deposit or card hold above a party size you choose, taken through a payment provider account you connect, such as Stripe. State the cancellation rule on the booking page so nobody is surprised.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not let guests book the last table on a Saturday at 11 p.m. for a two-hour slot that runs past close. Do not hold a no-show table all night; release it 15 minutes after the booking time and show that rule on the confirmation email. And give staff one shared list, not separate notes per shift.

A prompt to start from

Build a table booking system for our bar. Areas: 6 booths for up to 6, 10 high tables for 4, and a terrace with 8 tables. On Friday and Saturday, slots are two hours, last booking is 10 p.m., and the high tables are walk-in only. Groups over 8 must pay a deposit. Send confirmation and reminder emails, and give staff a tonight view where they mark guests as arrived or no-show.

Questions

Can guests book a table without messaging us?

Yes. They pick an area, party size, date and time from what is actually free, and get a confirmation email. Staff see the booking straight away in the admin list.

Can I keep some tables for walk-ins?

Yes. Mark any table or area as walk-in only, for all nights or only for busy ones. Online guests simply never see those tables.

Can I block nights for private hire or events?

Yes. Block a whole night, an area or a time range, and the booking page stops offering it. That is useful when the back room is hired or a match is on.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Describe your room and rules in plain words and Mythex builds the system. To change a rule later, you ask in chat.

How much does it cost?

You can build and publish on the Free plan with daily credits, no card needed. Pro is $25/month and adds a custom domain, code editing, export and more credits.
