Shifts that cross midnight

Bar shifts often finish after midnight, so hours belong to the night they started, not the next calendar day. Say this in your prompt so totals and payroll exports are right. Add a minimum gap between a late close and the next day's opening shift if your rules or your team expect one.

Certifications and door staff

Where local rules ask for licensed door staff or trained personal licence holders on shift, add those as qualifications on each person. The rota can then warn you when a Saturday has no qualified person on. Record expiry dates so renewals do not lapse unnoticed.
