Rules that protect busy nights

Put your peak-night rules in the system: a minimum stay on Fridays and Saturdays, a festival weekend at three nights, a cut-off for same-day bookings, an age limit. Groups above a certain size go to an enquiry instead of booking instantly, so one party cannot take every bed on a bank holiday.

Your booking system can hold the whole calendar. Pulling in platform reservations automatically needs a channel manager or platform account you connect yourself; until then, block the beds you sold elsewhere. Keep your direct rate a little better and say so on the page.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not sell a private room as eight dorm beds in the same calendar. Do not take bookings without a cancellation rule on the confirmation. And do not forget a deposit for large groups; one no-show party can empty a dorm for a weekend.
