Directory Website Builder for Course Creators: Certified Graduates and Course Listings
A directory site for a course business usually lists one of two things: the certified graduates of your programme, so clients can hire them, or online courses in a niche, so learners can compare them. Describe which you need to Mythex and it builds listings with filters, a submission form with your approval, expiry dates and a detail page for each listing that search engines can index.
Who it's for
Course creators whose programme certifies a skill people hire for, such as coaching, bookkeeping or yoga teaching, and education founders building a niche directory of courses and teachers as a business or community resource.
What you can build
- A graduate directory with specialty, location and certification level
- Listings that expire when a graduate's certification lapses
- A course directory with topic, format, price range and language filters
- A submission form that saves new listings as pending
- An approval queue in the admin area
- Featured listings pinned to the top of a category
A graduate directory that sells your course
When your course certifies a skill, a public list of certified graduates gives them clients and gives your course proof. Graduates submit their own listing with specialty, location, languages and certification level; you approve it after checking they passed. Each listing carries a certification date and expiry, and lapsed listings hide automatically until the graduate renews. Visitors contact graduates through a form, so personal emails are not exposed.
- Submitted by graduates, approved by you
- Expiry linked to certification
- Contact form instead of public emails
A directory of online courses
If you are building a directory of courses in a niche, give each listing the details learners compare: topic, level, format (self-paced, cohort, live), length, language, price range and the creator. Filters on those fields matter more than a keyword search. Let creators submit and update their own listings, and review every one before it goes live.
Pages that can be found
Each listing gets its own address, title and description, and category pages group them by topic or location. Ask for a sitemap generated from the listings. Thin listings with one line of text rarely rank, so ask submitters for a proper description and keep the form's minimum length sensible.
- One page per listing
- Category and location pages
- Sitemap from the listings
Keep it trustworthy
A directory loses value with every out-of-date listing. Add a 'last checked' date, send listers a yearly reminder to confirm their details, and remove anything you cannot verify.
A prompt to start from
Build a directory of certified graduates of my coaching course. Each listing has name, photo, specialty, location, languages, certification level and expiry date. Graduates submit their own listing, which stays pending until I approve it, and listings hide when certification expires. Visitors filter by specialty, location and language and contact graduates through a form. Add featured listings and a sitemap.
Questions
Can people submit their own listings?
Yes. The submission form saves a pending listing, and nothing appears until you approve it in the admin area.
Can listings expire automatically?
Yes. Give each listing an expiry date, such as a certification renewal date, and ask for expired listings to be hidden and the lister reminded.
Will listing pages show up in Google?
Each listing gets its own page with a title and description, which search engines can index. Ask for a sitemap and it is generated from the listings.
Can I charge for featured listings?
Yes. Add a featured option with payment through a provider you connect with your own account.
Do I need to code, and is it free?
No coding is needed. You can build and publish on the Free plan, and Pro at $25 a month adds a custom domain, code editing and export.
