Warehouse Inventory App for Logistics Companies and 3PLs

A logistics warehouse inventory app has to treat stock as the client's, not yours: every SKU belongs to someone, sits in a known bay and moves only against their order. Describe your warehouse to Mythex and it builds the app with per-client stock, locations, receipts and picks, storage charging and a client view, all on a real database.

Who it's for

Logistics companies and small 3PLs holding stock for several clients, running counts in spreadsheets, and spending month end reconciling their numbers against clients' own records.

What you can build

  • Stock per client with SKU, quantity and bay or bin location
  • Inbound receipts against advance shipping notices
  • Outbound picks recorded against client orders
  • Weekly storage charges by pallet or space used
  • Cycle counts with differences flagged
  • A client view of their own stock and movements

Stock belongs to the client

The first rule of third-party warehousing is separation. Every item record carries the client, SKU, quantity and exact location, and the app refuses to place two clients' stock in one location, even when the products are identical. Mixing them saves shelf space for a week and causes months of argument when counts do not match.

  • Client on every stock record
  • One client per location
  • Movements always tied to a client document

Receipts and picks with a paper trail

Inbound goods are checked against the client's advance notice, with short or damaged items recorded and photographed on receipt. Outbound picks are recorded against the client's order number. With every movement tied to a document, the stock figure can be explained line by line when a client queries it.

Charging for storage

Storage is usually charged per pallet or space per week, plus handling per movement. Ask Mythex to take a snapshot of each client's occupied pallets weekly and calculate the charge, with handling fees per receipt and pick. Those figures can flow straight into a monthly invoice.

  • Weekly pallet snapshot per client
  • Handling fee per receipt and pick
  • Charges ready for the monthly invoice

What to set up first

Start with one client and a full count of their stock by location. Record every receipt and pick for that client in the app for a month, then compare your figure with theirs. Once it matches, move the next client across. Add the client view last, so they see clean data from the start.

A prompt to start from

Build a warehouse inventory app for my logistics company. Stock belongs to a client and has SKU, description, quantity and bay location, and a location can only hold one client's stock. Record inbound receipts against advance notices with damage photos, and outbound picks against client order numbers. Take a weekly pallet count per client for storage charges plus handling fees, and give each client a login to see only their own stock and movements.

Questions

Can each client see their own stock?

Yes. Give clients logins limited to their own stock, receipts and picks. Other clients' goods stay invisible to them.

Can it calculate storage charges?

Yes. Take a weekly snapshot of pallets or space per client and apply your rate, plus handling fees per movement. The totals can feed your invoices.

Can staff use barcode scanners?

The app runs in the browser, so many handheld scanners that type into a field will work. Test your own device with a small prototype first.

Do I need to code?

No. You describe how your warehouse works and Mythex builds it. You change it by chatting.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free needs no card and gives daily credits to build and publish. Pro is $25/month for a custom domain, code editing and export.
