Packaging Inventory Management App, Built with AI

A packaging inventory app should tell you which boxes and mailers will run out before the next delivery could arrive, not just how many are on the shelf. Describe your lines, pack sizes and suppliers to Mythex and it builds the app with a real database, staff logins and a live preview you adjust by chatting.

Who it's for

Packaging suppliers and wholesalers with hundreds of stock lines, where reorder levels live in one spreadsheet that one person understands, and popular sizes run out right before peak season.

What you can build

  • Every SKU with internal size, board grade, pack quantity and location
  • Weeks of cover calculated from recent sales
  • Reorder list grouped by supplier with lead times
  • Goods-in and picking recorded from a phone in the warehouse
  • Stock held in packs and pallets, converted automatically
  • Stock reserved for confirmed trade orders

Set reorder points from lead time, not habit

A fixed reorder level of 200 packs made sense the year someone typed it in. The safer rule is weekly sales multiplied by supplier lead time, plus a buffer. Ask the app to calculate it per line from the last eight or twelve weeks of sales, and to show the result next to the old figure so you can see which lines were quietly set too low. Run the same check again a month before peak, when demand on mailers and shipping boxes jumps.

  • Weekly sales from real order history
  • Lead time stored per supplier and per line
  • A safety buffer you set by category

Units that match how you buy and sell

You buy boxes by the pallet, store them in bundles and sell them in packs of 25 or 50. If the app only knows single units, every count turns into arithmetic. Record the pack size and the packs per pallet on each line, let goods-in be entered as pallets, and show stock in whichever unit the person on the screen thinks in.

Stock that is already promised

A trade account's standing order or a confirmed custom print job should reserve stock the moment it is accepted. Show three numbers per line: on hand, reserved and free. Sales staff quote from free stock, and nobody promises the last pallet twice.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not import every discontinued SKU from the old spreadsheet; start with lines sold in the last year. Keep internal and external dimensions as separate fields from day one. And do a physical count of your top fifty lines before going live, because an app that starts with wrong numbers loses the team's trust in a week.

A prompt to start from

Build an inventory app for my packaging supply business. Each line has SKU, type, internal and external dimensions, board grade, pack size, packs per pallet, location, supplier and lead time. Show stock on hand, reserved for orders and free, plus weeks of cover from the last 8 weeks of sales. Give me a reorder list grouped by supplier and a phone screen for goods-in and picking.

Questions

Can it calculate reorder points for me?

Yes. Ask for reorder points based on average weekly sales and lead time with a buffer. You can override any line by hand.

Can warehouse staff use it on a phone?

Yes. Published apps work in a phone browser, and you can ask for big buttons and a barcode or SKU search for goods-in. On Pro it can also become an Android or iPhone app that opens your published app.

Can I import my existing stock spreadsheet?

Yes. Save it as CSV and ask Mythex to build an import. Check a sample of lines against a physical count after importing.

Can it raise purchase orders to suppliers?

It can turn the reorder list into a purchase order per supplier as a PDF or email draft. Sending email automatically needs a mail provider you connect yourself.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free has no card requirement and daily credits to build and publish. Pro is $25 a month and adds more credits, a custom domain, code editing and export.
