Jewellery Inventory App: Finished Pieces, Loose Stones, Metal and Consignment
Jewellery inventory is not one list: finished rings by size, loose stones one by one, metal by the gram, and pieces sitting in a stockist's cabinet. Describe what you hold to Mythex and it builds an inventory app with each of those tracked properly, in a database you can search.
Who it's for
Jewellery makers and brands who keep stone details in a notebook, metal stock in their head and consignment pieces in a spreadsheet the stockist never sees.
What you can build
- Finished pieces by collection, metal and size
- Loose stones tracked individually with photos and certificates
- Metal stock by type and weight in grams
- Findings and chain by length and gauge
- Pieces out on consignment at each stockist
- A stocktake screen for counting on a phone
Track each stone on its own
Give every loose stone a record: type, carat, colour, clarity or grade, measurements, a photo and the certificate if it has one. Reserve it against a bespoke commission when a client chooses it. Insurance, valuation and quoting all get easier when you can find the exact stone in seconds.
Metal by weight
Record gold, silver and platinum stock by purity and grams, with purchases in and casting or fabrication out. Linking metal used to each piece shows your real material cost and keeps quotes accurate when prices move.
- Purity and grams
- Metal used per piece
- Scrap returned for refining
Consignment at stockists
Assign pieces to a stockist location when they leave the studio. When the stockist reports a sale, mark it sold and invoice; when pieces come back, return them to stock. A list per stockist shows exactly what they hold.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not store stones and finished pieces in one undifferentiated list. Do not let a reserved stone show as available. And photograph every stone on intake; descriptions alone rarely settle a dispute.
A prompt to start from
Build an inventory app for my jewellery brand. Track finished pieces by collection, metal and ring size, loose stones individually with type, carat, grade, photo and certificate, metal stock by purity and grams with usage per piece, and pieces on consignment at each stockist with sold and returned status. Add a phone stocktake screen.
Questions
Can I track consignment stock at stockists?
Yes. Items are assigned to a stockist location and marked sold or returned.
Can stones be reserved for a bespoke commission?
Yes. Reserving a stone links it to the commission and removes it from available stock.
Can the inventory feed my online shop?
Yes, if the shop is in the same app. Finished pieces sold online reduce stock automatically.
Do I need to code?
No. You describe what you hold and adjust it by chatting.
Is it free?
You can build and publish on the Free plan without a card. Pro is $25 a month for a custom domain, code editing, export and more credits.
