Surcharges that get paid
Accessorial charges added days later get disputed. Have drivers record arrival and departure times and extra drops at the moment they happen, and calculate waiting time from those times against your free period. The invoice line then carries the timestamps, and most clients pay it without argument. Keep fuel surcharge as a percentage you update monthly.
