Hair Salon Dashboard: Rebooking Rate, Chair Use and Retail per Stylist
A hair salon dashboard should show the few numbers that predict next month: how many clients rebook before leaving, how full each chair is, and what retail each stylist sells. Mythex builds one from your description, reading from your own booking app or from CSV exports, and publishes it to a private page.
Who it's for
Salon owners and managers who run the business from the till report and a feeling about who is busy, and who want to see per-stylist numbers without paying for a large salon system.
What you can build
- Rebooking rate per stylist, by month
- Chair utilisation: booked hours against available hours
- Retail sales per stylist and per client
- Average bill for cut, colour and treatments
- No-shows and late cancellations by day and service
- New clients and how many come back a second time
The numbers that matter in a salon
Rebooking rate is one of the best predictors of future income: the share of clients who leave with the next appointment in the book. Chair utilisation tells you whether a stylist needs more clients or is ready for a price rise. Retail per client shows who recommends products. Second-visit rate for new clients shows whether the first experience is working. Show these per stylist, since salon-wide averages hide everything useful.

Where the data comes from
If your bookings already run in a Mythex app, the dashboard reads them directly. If you use another booking system or till, export appointments and sales as CSV each week and upload them; Mythex can map the columns. Either way the numbers are stored in your own database, so you can compare months and years.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not rank stylists publicly on revenue alone; juniors and colour specialists will always look different. Share each stylist's own rebooking number with them privately, which tends to improve it. And do not count back-bar product as retail, or margins will look wrong.
What to build first
Start with rebooking rate and chair utilisation per stylist for the last three months. Add retail and no-shows once the first two are trusted. A weekly email summary can follow if you connect an email service.
A prompt to start from
Build a dashboard for my hair salon. I upload weekly CSV exports of appointments and sales. Show per stylist and per month: rebooking rate (clients who left with a next appointment booked), chair utilisation (booked hours over available hours), retail sales per client, average bill by service type, no-shows by day of week, and the share of new clients who came back a second time.
Questions
Can it read data from my current booking system?
Yes, by uploading the CSV exports most salon systems can produce. A live connection depends on whether your system offers an API.
Can each stylist see their own numbers?
Yes. Give stylists logins that show only their own figures, while the owner sees everyone.
How is rebooking rate worked out?
It is usually the share of a stylist's clients who had another appointment booked at the time they left. You can describe your own definition and Mythex will use it.
Is my salon data private?
The dashboard sits behind a login and the data is in your project's own database.
Is it free?
The dashboard can be built on Free with no card. Pro at $25 a month adds a custom domain and more credits.
