Workspaces and Inviting Your Team

Mythex projects live in workspaces. Invite teammates by email, work on the same projects, and pay no per-seat fees. How owners, members and billing work.

Collaboration in Mythex works through workspaces. Projects live in a workspace, and everyone who is a member of it can open those projects and build on them. An owner invites people by email, there are no per-seat fees, and credits for published apps bill the workspace owner.

What a workspace is

A workspace is a shared space for projects. When you sign up, Mythex creates a default workspace for you, and most people building on their own never need another one.

You can create more. A second workspace is useful when a client or a team should see a set of projects but not your personal ones. Everyone in a workspace sees its projects; nobody outside it does.

There are two roles:

RoleWhoWhat they can do
OwnerThe person who created the workspaceInvite and remove members, manage the workspace, full access to its projects; billed for credits
MemberSomeone who accepted an inviteWork on the workspace's projects — open, chat, build, and publish as the product allows

Why it works this way

Adding a collaborator shouldn't be a pricing decision. Mythex pricing is based on credits, not seats: you can invite as many people as you like, and adding one doesn't add a fee.

Tying projects to a workspace, rather than sharing projects one at a time, keeps access simple. Invite someone once and they can work on everything in that workspace. Remove them and they lose access to all of it at once.

How to create or switch workspaces

  1. Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click the top row of the menu — the one with you and your workspace. The workspace menu slides in.
  3. Pick another workspace to switch to it, or choose New workspace and give it a name.

‹ Workspaces takes you back. On a phone the path is the same: open the drawer, tap your avatar at the bottom left, then the top row.

How to invite someone

Only owners can invite.

  1. Open the workspace menu (avatar, then the top row).
  2. Click Invite members.
  3. Enter the person's email and click Invite.

They receive a link to /invite. Pending invites show in the same dialog, and you can Revoke one any time before it's accepted. Once they join, they appear in the list as a Member, and you can Remove them later if you need to.

How to accept an invite

  1. Open the invite link from the email or from whoever invited you.
  2. Sign in, or sign up, with the email address the invite was sent to.
  3. Click Accept invitation. You join the workspace as a Member.

If you're signed out, the page offers Create account to accept or I already have an account. There's no Decline button — if you don't want to join, close the tab.

If the invite page shows an error

  • Invitation not found means the link is invalid, expired or already used. Ask the owner for a new invite.
  • Wrong account means you're signed in with a different email from the one invited. Use Switch account and sign in with the invited address.

Limits and things to agree on

  • Invites expire after about 7 days. If a link has gone stale, ask the owner to send it again.
  • Only owners manage membership. Members can accept invites and work on projects, but can't invite, revoke or remove anyone.
  • Published apps bill the owner. Credits and billing for published apps follow the workspace owner, not the member who pressed Publish. Agree up front who publishes, because hosting spend comes out of the owner's credit balance.
  • The default workspace can't be deleted from the product today.

Tips for working together

  • Write prompts others can follow. The chat history is shared context. A clear request — one goal, what to keep, what you saw in the preview — makes it easy for a teammate to pick up where you left off.
  • Use a separate workspace per client or team, so each one sees only its own projects.
  • Connect GitHub if engineers will keep working outside Mythex. See GitHub sync and export for how that works.
